Code, Local Government § 30–105","heading":"","body":"(a) (1) If requested, the Board shall provide an opportunity for a full\nhearing, including the right to counsel and cross–examination for all interested\nparties, in a proceeding regarding any benefit provided under this title.\n(2) (i) Through the member presiding at a hearing, the Board\nmay:\n1. administer oaths; and\n2. apply to the circuit court of any county for a\nsubpoena for a witness.\n(ii) If the Board applies for a subpoena under subparagraph (i)\nof this paragraph, the circuit court shall grant the subpoena if the court finds that:\n1. the evidence of the witness is necessary to provide a\nfair hearing; and\n2. requiring attendance by the witness would not be\noppressive.\n(b) (1) The Board shall keep a record of its proceedings.\n(2) The record shall be open to public inspection.","path":["Article - Local Government"],"source_url":"https://mgaleg.maryland.gov/mgawebsite/Laws/StatuteText?article=glg\u0026section=30-105","current_through":"2026-01-01","vintage":"","retrieved_at":"2026-09-14T19:59:58Z","sha256":"adc67bff49758c72e4bf3c4a7091ec4632ea28d6afbc18a9088afd755a2ed344","source_id":"us-md","stale":false,"prev":"us-md/md.-code-local-government-30-104","next":"us-md/md.-code-local-government-30-106"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
