Code, Local Government § 4–110","heading":"","body":"(a) (1) In this section, “ordinance” means a legislative enactment of\ngeneral application and continuing force for a municipality.\n(2) “Ordinance” does not include a public local law under § 9–102 of\nthis article.\n(b) Each year, if a municipality enacts any ordinance appropriate for\ncodification during the year, the governing body of a municipality shall provide for\nthe preparation and distribution of a supplement to or new edition of its code of\nordinances.\n(c) (1) A supplement published under subsection (b) of this section shall\ncontain each ordinance that is in effect and has been enacted or amended since the\nmunicipality’s most recent code of ordinances was published.\n(2) A new code published under subsection (b) of this section shall\ncontain each ordinance that is in effect at the time of publication.","path":["Article - Local Government"],"source_url":"https://mgaleg.maryland.gov/mgawebsite/Laws/StatuteText?article=glg\u0026section=4-110","current_through":"2026-01-01","vintage":"","retrieved_at":"2026-09-14T19:59:58Z","sha256":"45f8f1140c27cb514e27c4617db222d4c8166b06e81ca12b5d3fb90e6a1c8fdc","source_id":"us-md","stale":false,"prev":"us-md/md.-code-local-government-4-109","next":"us-md/md.-code-local-government-4-111"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
