Code, Local Government § 4–206","heading":"","body":"(a) The organizing committee shall present to the county commissioners or\ncounty council a proposed municipal charter:\n(1) within 45 days after receiving the comments submitted to the\norganizing committee under § 4–205(c) of this subtitle; or\n(2) if the county commissioners or county council has not submitted\ncomments, within 90 days after the report is submitted by the organizing committee\nunder § 4–205(a)(1)(iii) of this subtitle.\n(b) The organizing committee shall submit statements with the proposed\nmunicipal charter describing:\n(1) the likely fiscal effect of the proposed incorporation on residents\nof the proposed municipality, residents in the vicinity of the proposed municipality,\nand the county;\n(2) the services that the proposed municipality is expected to provide;\nand\n(3) the impact that the proposed incorporation is expected to have on\nproperty tax rates.","path":["Article - Local Government"],"source_url":"https://mgaleg.maryland.gov/mgawebsite/Laws/StatuteText?article=glg\u0026section=4-206","current_through":"2026-01-01","vintage":"","retrieved_at":"2026-09-14T19:59:58Z","sha256":"85f89bbccf7d28de908d9c7cfb0d16734a6157462a97e3a2ca843ab94295fe80","source_id":"us-md","stale":false,"prev":"us-md/md.-code-local-government-4-205","next":"us-md/md.-code-local-government-4-207"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
