Code, Local Government § 4–414","heading":"","body":"(a) (1) The chief executive and administrative officer of a municipality\nthat has annexed property shall send a copy of the annexation resolution with the\nnew boundaries to:\n(i) the clerk or similar official of the municipality;\n(ii) the clerk of the court in any county in which the\nmunicipality is located;\n(iii) the Department of Legislative Services in accordance with\nparagraph (2) of this subsection;\n(iv) the Department of Planning in accordance with paragraph\n(2) of this subsection; and\n(v) for any municipality located in the regional district, the\nMaryland–National Capital Park and Planning Commission.\n(2) The annexation resolution shall be sent to the Department of\nLegislative Services and the Department of Planning within 10 days after the\nresolution takes effect.\n(b) Each official or agency that receives an annexation resolution under\nsubsection (a) of this section shall:\n(1) keep on record the resolution with the new boundaries; and\n(2) make the resolution available for public inspection during regular\nbusiness hours.","path":["Article - Local Government"],"source_url":"https://mgaleg.maryland.gov/mgawebsite/Laws/StatuteText?article=glg\u0026section=4-414","current_through":"2026-01-01","vintage":"","retrieved_at":"2026-09-14T19:59:58Z","sha256":"753c6a1698aa80af17e9a60dcef4402fd5a5ab7d5bb1a277979dea1682d8e7f8","source_id":"us-md","stale":false,"prev":"us-md/md.-code-local-government-4-413","next":"us-md/md.-code-local-government-4-415"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
