Code, Local Government § 5–301","heading":"","body":"(a) In this subtitle the following words have the meanings indicated.\n(b) “Private community” means:\n(1) a community governed by a homeowners association, as defined\nunder the Maryland Homeowners Association Act;\n(2) a condominium, as defined under the Maryland Condominium\nAct; or\n(3) a cooperative housing corporation, as defined under the Maryland\nCooperative Housing Corporation Act.\n(c) “Residential street service” means:\n(1) removing snow, ice, or other obstructions from roadways;\n(2) lighting roadways and maintaining the lighting equipment;\n(3) collecting leaves, recyclable materials, or garbage along\nroadways; or\n(4) maintaining roadways.\n(d) “Roadway” means a paved surface that provides vehicular access or is\ndesignated for parking.","path":["Article - Local Government"],"source_url":"https://mgaleg.maryland.gov/mgawebsite/Laws/StatuteText?article=glg\u0026section=5-301","current_through":"2026-01-01","vintage":"","retrieved_at":"2026-09-14T19:59:58Z","sha256":"b151fba2a1301f6e9962efea89d857ea93cff612c1f046487d0504b00dd8831c","source_id":"us-md","stale":false,"prev":"us-md/md.-code-local-government-5-218","next":"us-md/md.-code-local-government-5-302"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
