Code, Local Government § 9–106","heading":"","body":"(a) This section applies only to commission counties.\n(b) This section applies only to a section of this article that specifically\nreferences this section.\n(c) (1) A copy of each act, ordinance, or resolution adopted by the county\ncommissioners, certified by the presiding officer of the county commissioners and\nattested to by the clerk of the county commissioners, shall be filed with the clerk of\nthe court of the county.\n(2) The clerk of the court shall record, date, and index the act,\nordinance, or resolution without charge in a volume provided by the county\ncommissioners.\n(d) An act, an ordinance, or a resolution adopted by the county\ncommissioners may not take effect until:\n(1) a copy has been filed with the clerk of the court of the county; and\n(2) a fair summary of the act, ordinance, or resolution has been\npublished in at least one newspaper of general circulation in the county.\n(e) An act, an ordinance, or a resolution filed in accordance with this section\nshall be admissible as evidence in any court proceeding on certification by the clerk\nof the court of the county.","path":["Article - Local Government"],"source_url":"https://mgaleg.maryland.gov/mgawebsite/Laws/StatuteText?article=glg\u0026section=9-106","current_through":"2026-01-01","vintage":"","retrieved_at":"2026-09-14T19:59:58Z","sha256":"af540230c08a440b5bbe1315806c97aab7781ac7a42a6e671885d19536af12ab","source_id":"us-md","stale":false,"prev":"us-md/md.-code-local-government-9-105","next":"us-md/md.-code-local-government-9-107"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
