Code, Local Government § 9–314","heading":"","body":"(a) At the end of each calendar or fiscal year, each code county shall compile\na complete set of all public local laws enacted by the code county during that year.\n(b) (1) Subject to paragraph (3) of this subsection, copies of the\ncompilation shall be:\n(i) kept on permanent record at the office of the county\ncommissioners;\n(ii) made available for inspection during regular business\nhours at the office; and\n(iii) provided in printed form without charge to the State\nArchives and the Maryland Thurgood Marshall State Law Library.\n(2) Annually, each code county shall provide each member of the\nGeneral Assembly representing any part of the county with:\n(i) notice that a digital copy of the compilation is available on\nthe Internet; or\n(ii) a printed copy of the compilation without charge.\n(3) The code county may make other copies of the compilation\navailable at a reasonable cost to any person.\n(c) On or before March 1 of each year, the code county shall provide without\ncharge four printed copies of the compilation to the Department of Legislative\nServices.\n(d) Each code county shall provide to the Department of Legislative\nServices a statement that includes information on:\n(1) the results of any referendum on a public local law held during\nthe previous calendar or fiscal year; and\n(2) any actual or potential pending referendum that has not been\nheld by the end of the year.","path":["Article - Local Government"],"source_url":"https://mgaleg.maryland.gov/mgawebsite/Laws/StatuteText?article=glg\u0026section=9-314","current_through":"2026-01-01","vintage":"","retrieved_at":"2026-09-14T19:59:58Z","sha256":"163dfdc2c957a3c364873883afc03501b8ba42bd55b2cdcc05e3aa0c92f76c15","source_id":"us-md","stale":false,"prev":"us-md/md.-code-local-government-9-313","next":"us-md/md.-code-local-government-9-315"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
