Code, Natural Resources § 3–2A–05","heading":"","body":"(a) Subject to conditions necessary to carry out the purposes and requirements of this subtitle, the Trust, on application by a land trust, may provide a grant to the applicant from the Grant Fund.\n(b) The Trust may make a grant to an applicant only if:\n(1) The applicant meets the qualifications required by this subtitle;\n(2) The grant is to be used only for the acquisition of interests or rights in real property for recreational or preservation purposes;\n(3) The Department approves the project as being in conformity with the Department’s criteria governing land acquired under a State grant from Program Open Space;\n(4) The trustees of the Trust approve the grant; and\n(5) The Board of Public Works approves the grant.","path":["Article - Natural Resources"],"source_url":"https://mgaleg.maryland.gov/mgawebsite/Laws/StatuteText?article=gnr\u0026section=3-2A-05","current_through":"2026-01-01","vintage":"","retrieved_at":"2026-09-14T20:00:08Z","sha256":"dd6aee819f8dac66b5b1202e9efa7c3c1a28aa2c9a401061cf8054acd46049c8","source_id":"us-md","stale":false,"prev":"us-md/md.-code-natural-resources-3-2a-04","next":"us-md/md.-code-natural-resources-3-2a-06"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
