Code, Natural Resources § 5–303","heading":"","body":"(a) The Department shall develop and implement a Woodland Incentives Program to assist eligible landowners in conducting a program of woodland management.\n(b) (1) The Secretary shall adopt regulations to carry out the provisions of this subtitle.\n(2) Regulations under subsection (a) of this section shall include consideration of:\n(i) The establishment of land size limits for which cost-share assistance may be granted;\n(ii) A determination of practices that are eligible for cost-sharing assistance;\n(iii) Subject to the limitations imposed by this subtitle, the establishment of maximum amounts of assistance that an eligible landowner may receive for implementation of an approved practice;\n(iv) The establishment of criteria for prioritizing applications, including size of land, soil productivity, and tree species;\n(v) A periodic review of actual costs of woodland development practices;\n(vi) The establishment of criteria for Department assistance in implementation of an approved practice;\n(vii) The imposition by the Department of reasonable charges for implementation assistance; and\n(viii) A system of monitoring the implementation of approved practices.","path":["Article - Natural Resources"],"source_url":"https://mgaleg.maryland.gov/mgawebsite/Laws/StatuteText?article=gnr\u0026section=5-303","current_through":"2026-01-01","vintage":"","retrieved_at":"2026-09-14T20:00:08Z","sha256":"60c71e1b2b2c6a55b6c7de8f60fd9ecb86ce91679c771ea7c44581dec6476c09","source_id":"us-md","stale":false,"prev":"us-md/md.-code-natural-resources-5-302","next":"us-md/md.-code-natural-resources-5-304"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
