Code, Natural Resources § 8–739","heading":"","body":"(a) Any person who violates any provision of § 8-712, § 8-712.1, § 8-712.3, § 8-713, or § 8-718 of this subtitle is guilty of a misdemeanor and on conviction is subject to:\n(1) For a first offense, a fine not exceeding $500; and\n(2) For any subsequent offense that occurs within 2 years of a prior violation, a fine not exceeding $1,000 or imprisonment not exceeding 1 year, or both.\n(b) Any person who violates § 8-716.1 of this subtitle is guilty of a misdemeanor and on conviction is subject to a fine not exceeding $10,000 or imprisonment not exceeding 5 years, or both.","path":["Article - Natural Resources"],"source_url":"https://mgaleg.maryland.gov/mgawebsite/Laws/StatuteText?article=gnr\u0026section=8-739","current_through":"2026-01-01","vintage":"","retrieved_at":"2026-09-14T20:00:08Z","sha256":"41147fe874271d7a9c875f85fa4d454b0438b0c9d2a3bb2a18e04b5a37cc8342","source_id":"us-md","stale":false,"prev":"us-md/md.-code-natural-resources-8-738.3","next":"us-md/md.-code-natural-resources-8-740"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
