Code, Public Safety § 10–210","heading":"","body":"(a) (1) A person may not manufacture or process fireworks in the State except in a fireworks plant of a licensee.\n(2) A person who violates this subsection is guilty of a misdemeanor and on conviction is subject to imprisonment not exceeding 1 year or a fine not exceeding $1,000 or both.\n(b) (1) Unless otherwise authorized by law, a person under this subtitle may not manufacture:\n(i) 1.3 G fireworks other than rockets and Roman candles;\n(ii) fireworks commonly known as “flash and sound”;\n(iii) products utilizing potassium chlorate; or\n(iv) explosives.\n(2) Except as otherwise authorized under this subtitle or Title 11, Subtitle 1 of this article, a person may not store 1.3 G fireworks other than rockets or Roman candles.\n(3) A person who violates this subsection is guilty of a misdemeanor and on conviction is subject to imprisonment not exceeding 1 year or a fine not exceeding $1,000 or both.\n(c) (1) A person who has been denied a license to operate a fireworks plant in the State or whose license to operate a fireworks plant in the State has been suspended or revoked may not operate that fireworks plant in the State.\n(2) A person who violates this subsection is guilty of a misdemeanor and on conviction is subject to imprisonment not exceeding 2 years or a fine not exceeding $2,000 or both.","path":["Article - Public Safety"],"source_url":"https://mgaleg.maryland.gov/mgawebsite/Laws/StatuteText?article=gps\u0026section=10-210","current_through":"2026-01-01","vintage":"","retrieved_at":"2026-09-14T20:00:18Z","sha256":"46142184a4c526fa3e48d9f7ece3fb23dbf8dae91752712630dd71448f2f8e07","source_id":"us-md","stale":false,"prev":"us-md/md.-code-public-safety-10-209","next":"us-md/md.-code-public-safety-11-101"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
