Code, Public Safety § 12–306","heading":"","body":"(a) An industrialized building that is manufactured after June 30, 1977, may not be sold, offered for sale, or installed in the State unless the industrialized building:\n(1) is certified by the Department for sale in the State; and\n(2) bears the insignia provided by the Department.\n(b) A manufactured home that is manufactured after January 1, 1973, may not be sold or offered for sale to a first user in the State unless the manufactured home:\n(1) is certified by the Department for sale in the State and bears the insignia provided by the Department; or\n(2) is certified and labeled under the Manufactured Home Construction and Safety Standards Act.","path":["Article - Public Safety"],"source_url":"https://mgaleg.maryland.gov/mgawebsite/Laws/StatuteText?article=gps\u0026section=12-306","current_through":"2026-01-01","vintage":"","retrieved_at":"2026-09-14T20:00:18Z","sha256":"d3bbfd9bc5f3dcd8e49dd8c67a7b8c7d4e13baf0823f4ac96921818415dc49bc","source_id":"us-md","stale":false,"prev":"us-md/md.-code-public-safety-12-305","next":"us-md/md.-code-public-safety-12-307"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
