Code, Public Safety § 12–705","heading":"","body":"(a) In this section, “lockout tag” means a tag that:\n(1) seals a knife blade disconnect switch box closed;\n(2) is attached to the exterior of the knife blade disconnect switch box with a metal or plastic strap; and\n(3) includes a safety warning about the potential for electrocution if an individual removes the lockout tag or touches the contents of the knife blade disconnect switch box.\n(b) A company that installs solar photovoltaic systems shall install a lockout tag at each residential installation at the time of installation.","path":["Article - Public Safety"],"source_url":"https://mgaleg.maryland.gov/mgawebsite/Laws/StatuteText?article=gps\u0026section=12-705","current_through":"2026-01-01","vintage":"","retrieved_at":"2026-09-14T20:00:18Z","sha256":"282b88b27a57660c1335e178a93452048c540bed8301b0be5af1637684f81c8d","source_id":"us-md","stale":false,"prev":"us-md/md.-code-public-safety-12-704","next":"us-md/md.-code-public-safety-12-706"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
