Code, Public Safety § 12–914","heading":"","body":"A person who repairs or alters a boiler or pressure vessel shall:\n(1) give notice to and obtain approval from the Chief Boiler Inspector, a deputy boiler inspector, or a special inspector before beginning a repair or alteration that:\n(i) affects the working pressure or safety of a boiler or pressure vessel; or\n(ii) involves fusion welding;\n(2) repair the boiler or pressure vessel in accordance with regulations adopted under this subtitle; and\n(3) provide reports, as required by regulations adopted under this subtitle, to the Chief Boiler Inspector and the owner of the boiler or pressure vessel.","path":["Article - Public Safety"],"source_url":"https://mgaleg.maryland.gov/mgawebsite/Laws/StatuteText?article=gps\u0026section=12-914","current_through":"2026-01-01","vintage":"","retrieved_at":"2026-09-14T20:00:18Z","sha256":"ae7ee3b5ed3392596d8c1444c98bd645523ac9ffdf5c015756a6728e3c7f1bd5","source_id":"us-md","stale":false,"prev":"us-md/md.-code-public-safety-12-913","next":"us-md/md.-code-public-safety-12-915"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
