Code, Public Safety § 12–917","heading":"","body":"(a) A person may not:\n(1) willfully and persistently operate in the State a boiler or pressure vessel, except a pressure vessel covered by an owner-user inspection service as provided by this subtitle, without a certificate;\n(2) operate in the State a boiler or pressure vessel at a pressure exceeding that specified on the certificate; or\n(3) interfere with or impede the official duties of the Commissioner, an authorized representative of the Commissioner, or a member of the Board.\n(b) A person who violates this section is guilty of a misdemeanor and on conviction is subject for each violation to imprisonment not exceeding 5 years or a fine not exceeding $5,000 or both.","path":["Article - Public Safety"],"source_url":"https://mgaleg.maryland.gov/mgawebsite/Laws/StatuteText?article=gps\u0026section=12-917","current_through":"2026-01-01","vintage":"","retrieved_at":"2026-09-14T20:00:18Z","sha256":"84d2283757c6cdc326ac02453dcc35cca0d7f938157d70e6340a7b11b461f986","source_id":"us-md","stale":false,"prev":"us-md/md.-code-public-safety-12-916","next":"us-md/md.-code-public-safety-12-918"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
