Code, Public Safety § 13–208","heading":"","body":"(a) During a time of duty, a commanding officer may arrest for the period of the time of duty an individual who:\n(1) trespasses on a camp ground, parade ground, armory, or other place devoted to that duty;\n(2) disrupts in any way the orderly discharge of duty by those under arms; or\n(3) interrupts or prevents the passage of troops going to or returning from duty.\n(b) A commanding officer may prohibit within the limits of a post, camp ground, place of encampment, parade, or drill that is under the command of the officer:\n(1) the sale or use of alcoholic beverages;\n(2) huckster or auction sales; and\n(3) gambling.","path":["Article - Public Safety"],"source_url":"https://mgaleg.maryland.gov/mgawebsite/Laws/StatuteText?article=gps\u0026section=13-208","current_through":"2026-01-01","vintage":"","retrieved_at":"2026-09-14T20:00:18Z","sha256":"8b679b5263fc5fa1a79a448abff72669dbba58c64de1c80c96431be7c218dab1","source_id":"us-md","stale":false,"prev":"us-md/md.-code-public-safety-13-207","next":"us-md/md.-code-public-safety-13-209"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
