Code, Public Safety § 13A–1032","heading":"","body":"(a) A person subject to this title shall be punished as a court–martial may direct if the person, with intent to deceive:\n(1) signs a false record, return, regulation, order, or other official document, knowing it to be false; or\n(2) makes any other false official statement knowing it to be false.\n(b) A person subject to this title shall be punished as a court–martial may direct if the person:\n(1) takes an oath that:\n(i) is administered in a matter in which such oath is required or authorized by law; and\n(ii) is administered by a person with authority to do so; and\n(2) on such oath, makes or subscribes to a statement that is false and at the time of taking the oath, the person does not believe the statement to be true.","path":["Article - Public Safety"],"source_url":"https://mgaleg.maryland.gov/mgawebsite/Laws/StatuteText?article=gps\u0026section=13A-1032","current_through":"2026-01-01","vintage":"","retrieved_at":"2026-09-14T20:00:18Z","sha256":"c46d91844b82477d2899dd556dc29a14face3e159c008bc1c6c54bc88082d841","source_id":"us-md","stale":false,"prev":"us-md/md.-code-public-safety-13a-1031","next":"us-md/md.-code-public-safety-13a-1033"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
