Code, Public Safety § 14–3A–08","heading":"","body":"(a) (1) Except as provided in subsection (b) of this section, a person may not knowingly and willfully fail to comply with an order, requirement, or directive issued under this subtitle.\n(2) A person who violates paragraph (1) of this subsection is guilty of a misdemeanor and on conviction is subject to imprisonment not exceeding 1 year or a fine not exceeding $5,000 or both.\n(b) (1) A health care practitioner, as defined in § 19–114(e) of the Health – General Article, may not knowingly and willfully fail to comply with § 14–3A–03(c) of this subtitle.\n(2) A health care practitioner who fails to comply with paragraph (1) of this subsection shall be subject to discipline under § 1–219 of the Health Occupations Article.","path":["Article - Public Safety"],"source_url":"https://mgaleg.maryland.gov/mgawebsite/Laws/StatuteText?article=gps\u0026section=14-3A-08","current_through":"2026-01-01","vintage":"","retrieved_at":"2026-09-14T20:00:18Z","sha256":"8e3e367338d0397f78100aba6944aa083baad91b78095e60a9b914b6eb54ef7e","source_id":"us-md","stale":false,"prev":"us-md/md.-code-public-safety-14-3a-07","next":"us-md/md.-code-public-safety-14-401"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
