Code, Public Safety § 14–501","heading":"","body":"(a) In this subtitle the following words have the meanings indicated.\n(b) “Administration” means the Maryland Energy Administration.\n(c) “Director” means the Director of the Administration.\n(d) “Person” includes a federal, State, or local government or an agency or instrumentality of a federal, State, or local government.\n(e) “Prime supplier” means a supplier that makes the first sale into the State distribution system of a State fuel security product that is intended for consumption in the State.\n(f) “Program” means the State Fuel Security Program.\n(g) “State fuel security product” means a product to which the Program applies.\n(h) “Supplier” means a business entity or a part or subsidiary of a business entity that supplies, sells, transfers, or otherwise furnishes, including by consignment, a State fuel security product to consumers or wholesale purchaser–resellers.\n(i) “Wholesale purchaser–reseller” means a business entity that:\n(1) purchases, receives through transfer, or otherwise obtains, including by consignment, a State fuel security product; and\n(2) resells or otherwise transfers the State fuel security product to other purchasers without substantially changing its form.","path":["Article - Public Safety"],"source_url":"https://mgaleg.maryland.gov/mgawebsite/Laws/StatuteText?article=gps\u0026section=14-501","current_through":"2026-01-01","vintage":"","retrieved_at":"2026-09-14T20:00:18Z","sha256":"52a21ec345c54c58a840f7b7313ecf6e63f05112936efbc2e69e51d2ccae3b25","source_id":"us-md","stale":false,"prev":"us-md/md.-code-public-safety-14-406","next":"us-md/md.-code-public-safety-14-502"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
