Code, Public Safety § 5–133.1","heading":"","body":"(a) In this section, “ammunition” means a cartridge, shell, or any other device containing explosive or incendiary material designed and intended for use in a firearm.\n(b) A person may not possess ammunition if the person is prohibited from possessing a regulated firearm under § 5–133 (b) or (c) of this subtitle.\n(c) A person who violates this section is guilty of a misdemeanor and on conviction is subject to imprisonment not exceeding 1 year or a fine not exceeding $1,000 or both.","path":["Article - Public Safety"],"source_url":"https://mgaleg.maryland.gov/mgawebsite/Laws/StatuteText?article=gps\u0026section=5-133.1","current_through":"2026-01-01","vintage":"","retrieved_at":"2026-09-14T20:00:18Z","sha256":"3830df628976e39f4fa65bf130fcd0cb644e2d773aefa469fceae3399afcfef9","source_id":"us-md","stale":false,"prev":"us-md/md.-code-public-safety-5-133","next":"us-md/md.-code-public-safety-5-133.2"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
