Code, Public Safety § 9–603","heading":"","body":"If an insurer has reason to suspect that a fire loss to real or personal property of the insured was caused by incendiary means, the insurer shall:\n(1) notify the fire investigator;\n(2) provide the fire investigator with all relevant material acquired during the insurer’s investigation of the fire loss;\n(3) cooperate with and take any action requested by the fire investigator; and\n(4) allow a person, on court order, to inspect any of the insurer’s records that relate to the policy and the fire loss.","path":["Article - Public Safety"],"source_url":"https://mgaleg.maryland.gov/mgawebsite/Laws/StatuteText?article=gps\u0026section=9-603","current_through":"2026-01-01","vintage":"","retrieved_at":"2026-09-14T20:00:18Z","sha256":"402e743e73b9a13fa88200241aefa87328b94653a374ed02a940c457f834e4cd","source_id":"us-md","stale":false,"prev":"us-md/md.-code-public-safety-9-602","next":"us-md/md.-code-public-safety-9-604"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
