Code, Public Utilities § 10–105","heading":"","body":"(a) After an administrative review, the Commission shall deny an application for a license if the public convenience and necessity requires the denial because of:\n(1) the physical or mental condition of the applicant; or\n(2) the criminal record of the applicant.\n(b) (1) If an applicant’s application for a license is denied under subsection (a) of this section, the applicant may request a hearing by the Commission.\n(2) The Commission may have the license hearing officer conduct the hearing in accordance with § 10-110 of this subtitle.\n(c) If the Commission refuses to issue a license, the applicant may seek judicial review of the refusal under Title 3, Subtitle 2 of this article.","path":["Article - Public Utilities"],"source_url":"https://mgaleg.maryland.gov/mgawebsite/Laws/StatuteText?article=gpu\u0026section=10-105","current_through":"2026-01-01","vintage":"","retrieved_at":"2026-09-14T20:00:28Z","sha256":"5e8bb131fdefae786a7aa17eb09818ac34f9899e376df540011aa51ddd454425","source_id":"us-md","stale":false,"prev":"us-md/md.-code-public-utilities-10-104.1","next":"us-md/md.-code-public-utilities-10-106"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
