Code, Public Utilities § 18–213","heading":"","body":"(a) An employee organization may not:\n(1) interfere with, coerce, or restrain an employee in the exercise by the employee of any right under this subtitle;\n(2) cause or attempt to cause the Commission to discriminate against an employee in the exercise by the employee of any right under this subtitle;\n(3) coerce, discipline, fine, or attempt to coerce a member of an employee organization as punishment or reprisal;\n(4) coerce, discipline, fine, or attempt to coerce a member of an employee organization for the purpose of impeding the member’s work performance;\n(5) refuse to negotiate in good faith with the Commission as required under § 18–207 of this subtitle; or\n(6) fail or refuse to cooperate in impasse procedures and impasse decisions as required under § 18–208 of this subtitle.\n(b) Only an eligible employee may file an unfair labor charge against an employee organization for a violation of subsection (a)(3) or (4) of this section.","path":["Article - Public Utilities"],"source_url":"https://mgaleg.maryland.gov/mgawebsite/Laws/StatuteText?article=gpu\u0026section=18-213","current_through":"2026-01-01","vintage":"","retrieved_at":"2026-09-14T20:00:28Z","sha256":"2d563f1d114aa36b1e1b2f5498b27276cd048936009e6053f4b247062bd786ab","source_id":"us-md","stale":false,"prev":"us-md/md.-code-public-utilities-18-212","next":"us-md/md.-code-public-utilities-18-214"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
