Code, Public Utilities § 2–307","heading":"","body":"(a) This section applies to each individual subject to § 2–302 of this subtitle and to:\n(1) each spouse, dependent child, parent, brother, or sister of each commissioner, the People’s Counsel, the General Counsel, and each public utility law judge; and\n(2) each spouse or dependent child of each other officer or employee of the Commission or Office of People’s Counsel.\n(b) (1) An individual subject to this section may not accept from a public service company or its officers, agents, or employees, a gift, gratuity, or special consideration.\n(2) This subsection does not preclude an individual from accepting a gift from a relative.","path":["Article - Public Utilities"],"source_url":"https://mgaleg.maryland.gov/mgawebsite/Laws/StatuteText?article=gpu\u0026section=2-307","current_through":"2026-01-01","vintage":"","retrieved_at":"2026-09-14T20:00:28Z","sha256":"d7d098f1473c839a6ce28424c532c358c3580aee4a0031264a60b1907df42288","source_id":"us-md","stale":false,"prev":"us-md/md.-code-public-utilities-2-306","next":"us-md/md.-code-public-utilities-2-308"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
