Code, Public Utilities § 24–202","heading":"","body":"(a) Within 24 hours of the discovery of a leak in a sanitary sewer line, pipe, or fixture that is connected to the sanitary sewer system of the Commission, the Commission shall:\n(1) notify the county and any municipal corporation in which the sewage leak is located about:\n(i) the sewage leak; and\n(ii) the Commission’s intended action concerning the sewage leak; and\n(2) include the following on the Commission’s website:\n(i) notice to the general public about the sewage leak; and\n(ii) the phone number for obtaining additional information from the Commission.\n(b) The Commission shall adopt regulations to implement this section.","path":["Article - Public Utilities"],"source_url":"https://mgaleg.maryland.gov/mgawebsite/Laws/StatuteText?article=gpu\u0026section=24-202","current_through":"2026-01-01","vintage":"","retrieved_at":"2026-09-14T20:00:28Z","sha256":"56cf06c50b9567d3ce7b09cc6cf2ad27a3310711a08316a7d22cc5f4fad890ab","source_id":"us-md","stale":false,"prev":"us-md/md.-code-public-utilities-24-201","next":"us-md/md.-code-public-utilities-24-203"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
