Code, Public Utilities § 25–501","heading":"","body":"(a) The Commission shall set a service rate that the Commission considers necessary to provide funds for:\n(1) maintaining, repairing, and operating its water supply and sewer systems, including the overhead expense and depreciation allowance; and\n(2) making any payments to the District of Columbia, as specified in this title.\n(b) The service rate:\n(1) shall be chargeable against all properties for a connection with any line owned by the Commission;\n(2) shall be uniform throughout the sanitary district; and\n(3) may be changed as necessary.","path":["Article - Public Utilities"],"source_url":"https://mgaleg.maryland.gov/mgawebsite/Laws/StatuteText?article=gpu\u0026section=25-501","current_through":"2026-01-01","vintage":"","retrieved_at":"2026-09-14T20:00:28Z","sha256":"9e4d34fc4eadaaed8faecc9bfd4bc579874131bba84e6329ee40b9a7eacf0290","source_id":"us-md","stale":false,"prev":"us-md/md.-code-public-utilities-25-405","next":"us-md/md.-code-public-utilities-25-501.1"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
