Code, Public Utilities § 3–114","heading":"","body":"(a) On rehearing, the Commission may:\n(1) consider facts not presented in the original hearing, including facts arising after the date of the original hearing; and\n(2) abrogate, change, or modify the original order by new order.\n(b) Except as otherwise ordered by the Commission, the rehearing or application for the rehearing does not:\n(1) stay the enforcement of an order of the Commission; or\n(2) excuse a person affected by the order from complying with the terms of the order.\n(c) (1) A party in interest may apply to the Commission for rehearing within 30 days after service of a final order on the party.\n(2) The Commission may:\n(i) act on the application; and\n(ii) rehear a final order or conduct further proceedings on its own motion after the filing of a proposed order, as the Commission considers necessary.\n(3) If a rehearing is granted on an application under this subsection, the Commission shall decide the case within 30 days after the case is finally submitted on rehearing.","path":["Article - Public Utilities"],"source_url":"https://mgaleg.maryland.gov/mgawebsite/Laws/StatuteText?article=gpu\u0026section=3-114","current_through":"2026-01-01","vintage":"","retrieved_at":"2026-09-14T20:00:28Z","sha256":"93d252888ba1bce59c290fa20def109a6ecdda96c98510849d35df230e7d8ccc","source_id":"us-md","stale":false,"prev":"us-md/md.-code-public-utilities-3-113","next":"us-md/md.-code-public-utilities-3-201"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
