Code, Public Utilities § 5–302","heading":"","body":"(a) Except as provided in subsection (b) of this section, a public service company shall file with the Commission:\n(1) an annual report for the preceding calendar year; and\n(2) special reports, information, contracts, records, and copies as required by the Commission.\n(b) Unless otherwise directed by the Commission, a public service company is not required to comply with subsection (a) of this section if the public service company is:\n(1) a common carrier; or\n(2) a telephone company whose rates are not regulated by the Commission under Title 4 of this article.\n(c) The Commission may require a public service company that files documents under subsection (a) of this section to file the documents under oath.","path":["Article - Public Utilities"],"source_url":"https://mgaleg.maryland.gov/mgawebsite/Laws/StatuteText?article=gpu\u0026section=5-302","current_through":"2026-01-01","vintage":"","retrieved_at":"2026-09-14T20:00:28Z","sha256":"f21068a3175e3f0d1f8f382902968f528a5f8e1a5bc6c473dfd60234e541a468","source_id":"us-md","stale":false,"prev":"us-md/md.-code-public-utilities-5-301","next":"us-md/md.-code-public-utilities-5-303"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
