Code, Public Utilities § 9–207","heading":"","body":"(a) This section applies to a motor carrier providing transportation for hire by or through contract with a public authority, or a federal, State, district, or municipal transportation agency.\n(b) A motor carrier subject to this section:\n(1) is also subject to §§ 5–101 and 5–304 of this article; and\n(2) except as provided in § 9–201(b)(7) of this subtitle, shall obtain a motor carrier permit under § 9–201 of this subtitle.\n(c) A motor carrier permit issued to a motor carrier subject to this section may be:\n(1) subject to conditions under § 9–203 of this subtitle; and\n(2) suspended, revoked, or subsequently denied under § 9–204 of this subtitle.\n(d) Except as provided in this section, the provisions of this division do not apply to a motor carrier subject to this section.","path":["Article - Public Utilities"],"source_url":"https://mgaleg.maryland.gov/mgawebsite/Laws/StatuteText?article=gpu\u0026section=9-207","current_through":"2026-01-01","vintage":"","retrieved_at":"2026-09-14T20:00:28Z","sha256":"b4f2f249a4994242abba680a527d1cba947fd3f21a2bd5770a7b04224a2a1c97","source_id":"us-md","stale":false,"prev":"us-md/md.-code-public-utilities-9-206","next":"us-md/md.-code-public-utilities-9-208"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
