Code, Real Property § 14–117.1","heading":"","body":"(a) This section applies only to existing single–family residential real property in Prince George’s County.\n(b) A person or entity that imposes a deferred water and sewer charge shall include with each bill a statement that includes:\n(1) The amount of the annual assessment;\n(2) The approximate number of payments remaining on the assessment;\n(3) The amount remaining on the assessment, including interest;\n(4) The name and address of the person or entity most recently responsible for collection of the assessment;\n(5) The method used to compute the deferred water and sewer charge on the property;\n(6) The interest rate on the assessment;\n(7) The estimated payoff amount of the assessment; and\n(8) A statement that payoff of the assessment is allowed without prepayment penalty.\n(c) The balance owed on a deferred water and sewer assessment may be redeemed at the present value of the assessment.","path":["Article - Real Property"],"source_url":"https://mgaleg.maryland.gov/mgawebsite/Laws/StatuteText?article=grp\u0026section=14-117.1","current_through":"2026-01-01","vintage":"","retrieved_at":"2026-09-14T20:00:38Z","sha256":"0a347a856187bf08bbea2541dca9b7045117192f919d18b69d60c8ce430fa344","source_id":"us-md","stale":false,"prev":"us-md/md.-code-real-property-14-117","next":"us-md/md.-code-real-property-14-118"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
