Code, Real Property § 8–905","heading":"","body":"(a) MLSC shall develop an informational pamphlet in both English and other languages MLSC determines appropriate:\n(1) Describing the legal rights of tenants and the access to counsel established under this subtitle; and\n(2) Providing information on resources available to tenants.\n(b) A sheriff or constable shall provide a copy of the pamphlet described under subsection (a) of this section in addition to the process served on a tenant, an assignee, or a subtenant in accordance with the following provisions of this article:\n(1) An eviction proceeding for a failure to pay rent under § 8–401 of this title;\n(2) An eviction proceeding for a tenant holding over under § 8–402 of this title; and\n(3) An eviction proceeding for a breach of lease under § 8–402.1 of this title.","path":["Article - Real Property"],"source_url":"https://mgaleg.maryland.gov/mgawebsite/Laws/StatuteText?article=grp\u0026section=8-905","current_through":"2026-01-01","vintage":"","retrieved_at":"2026-09-14T20:00:38Z","sha256":"f199e65c20e32579395b74d8a61d4e7ad914fc62e16cc9ea5544151b6d8a2b9b","source_id":"us-md","stale":false,"prev":"us-md/md.-code-real-property-8-904","next":"us-md/md.-code-real-property-8-906"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
