Code, State Finance and Procurement § 14–601","heading":"","body":"(a) In this subtitle the following words have the meanings indicated.\n(b) “Veteran” means an individual who is verified to be a veteran, as defined in § 9–901 of the State Government Article.\n(c) “Veteran–owned small business enterprise” means a for–profit business that:\n(1) meets the size standards adopted by the United States Small Business Administration in 13 C.F.R. 121.201 and any subsequent revision of that regulation; and\n(2) is at least 51% owned by one or more individuals who:\n(i) are veterans; and\n(ii) control the management and daily operations of the business.","path":["Article - State Finance and Procurement"],"source_url":"https://mgaleg.maryland.gov/mgawebsite/Laws/StatuteText?article=gsf\u0026section=14-601","current_through":"2026-01-01","vintage":"","retrieved_at":"2026-09-14T20:00:48Z","sha256":"5cb0da05e6a9f22607756f67a5553bb75475dfd4dcf63de27d80637396d3b48a","source_id":"us-md","stale":false,"prev":"us-md/md.-code-state-finance-and-procurement-14-505","next":"us-md/md.-code-state-finance-and-procurement-14-602"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
