Code, State Finance and Procurement § 14–802","heading":"","body":"(a) This subtitle applies to a covered procurement made by a unit.\n(b) A contractor awarded a covered procurement with an estimated total dollar value of $1,000,000 or more shall utilize an eligible internship program.\n(c) A contractor awarded a covered procurement shall utilize a registered apprenticeship program.\n(d) The Chief Procurement Officer, in consultation with the Secretary and, for contracts subject to Title 3.5 of this article, the Secretary of Information Technology:\n(1) shall adopt regulations establishing the definition of “covered procurement”; and\n(2) may adopt:\n(i) regulations to improve the recruitment or skills of employees of vendors; or\n(ii) other regulations necessary to carry out this subtitle, including waiver processes.","path":["Article - State Finance and Procurement"],"source_url":"https://mgaleg.maryland.gov/mgawebsite/Laws/StatuteText?article=gsf\u0026section=14-802","current_through":"2026-01-01","vintage":"","retrieved_at":"2026-09-14T20:00:48Z","sha256":"5fac1f9e0a56c66b45a24426e814c195ec0338cf26946773cc2ae33a6f99af22","source_id":"us-md","stale":false,"prev":"us-md/md.-code-state-finance-and-procurement-14-801","next":"us-md/md.-code-state-finance-and-procurement-14-803"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
