Code, State Finance and Procurement § 17–102","heading":"","body":"(a) This subtitle does not limit the authority of a public body to require performance security in addition to, or in cases other than, those specified under §§ 17-103, 17-104, 17-106, and 17-107 of this subtitle.\n(b) This subtitle applies only to security for a construction contract.\n(c) (1) By ordinance, Baltimore City may provide for a program to satisfy the bonding requirements under §§ 17-103, 17-104, 17-106, and 17-107 of this subtitle with respect to any construction contract:\n(i) that does not exceed $200,000; and\n(ii) for which State money is not used.\n(2) The program shall provide for payment security of at least 50% of the total amount payable under the contract.","path":["Article - State Finance and Procurement"],"source_url":"https://mgaleg.maryland.gov/mgawebsite/Laws/StatuteText?article=gsf\u0026section=17-102","current_through":"2026-01-01","vintage":"","retrieved_at":"2026-09-14T20:00:48Z","sha256":"928ab79db1dcbd850349b97f5ab57b84d20e14a124a1802e718b22c3d60241b2","source_id":"us-md","stale":false,"prev":"us-md/md.-code-state-finance-and-procurement-17-101","next":"us-md/md.-code-state-finance-and-procurement-17-103"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
