Code, State Finance and Procurement § 17–105","heading":"","body":"(a) Security under this subtitle:\n(1) if required by the State or a unit of the State government, shall be payable to “the State of Maryland”; or\n(2) if required by any other public body, shall be payable to that public body.\n(b) The form of payment security or performance security shall be approved:\n(1) for the State or a unit of the State government, by the Attorney General; and\n(2) for any other public body, by its attorney.\n(c) The contractor shall file the security or evidence of a trust account established as security:\n(1) if payable to the State under this section, in the Office of the Comptroller; or\n(2) if payable to any other public body, in the appropriate office of that public body.","path":["Article - State Finance and Procurement"],"source_url":"https://mgaleg.maryland.gov/mgawebsite/Laws/StatuteText?article=gsf\u0026section=17-105","current_through":"2026-01-01","vintage":"","retrieved_at":"2026-09-14T20:00:48Z","sha256":"484025766bb6c6e0e69f4e0356eda182b5c80538dc37226a65390b36bb4de75b","source_id":"us-md","stale":false,"prev":"us-md/md.-code-state-finance-and-procurement-17-104","next":"us-md/md.-code-state-finance-and-procurement-17-106"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
