Code, State Finance and Procurement § 17–502","heading":"","body":"(a) This section does not apply to emergency procurement under § 13–108 of this Division II.\n(b) In addition to any other provision of law, the following persons shall use eMaryland Marketplace to publish notice of a procurement and publish a notice of award of a procurement that is at the same amount or exceeds the amount required by the Board for a State contract to be published in eMaryland Marketplace:\n(1) a unit of State government;\n(2) a county;\n(3) a municipality;\n(4) a bicounty or multicounty governmental agency;\n(5) a special tax district, sanitary district, drainage district, soil conservation district, and water supply district;\n(6) a public institution of higher education;\n(7) a public school; and\n(8) except for the Maryland Health and Higher Educational Facilities Authority, an entity exempt from the provisions of this Division II in accordance with § 11–203 of this article.\n(c) This section may not be construed to prohibit a person listed in subsection (b) of this section from publishing notice of a procurement or publishing a notice of award in accordance with any other law or policy.\n(d) An unintentional violation of this section may not constitute grounds to challenge or appeal:\n(1) the award of a procurement; or\n(2) the process through which a procurement was conducted.","path":["Article - State Finance and Procurement"],"source_url":"https://mgaleg.maryland.gov/mgawebsite/Laws/StatuteText?article=gsf\u0026section=17-502","current_through":"2026-01-01","vintage":"","retrieved_at":"2026-09-14T20:00:48Z","sha256":"be0f2aa2758bc9275d2611a77d0bc33630b83afeece976275859f2c3b3c89b6b","source_id":"us-md","stale":false,"prev":"us-md/md.-code-state-finance-and-procurement-17-501","next":"us-md/md.-code-state-finance-and-procurement-17-503"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
