Code, State Finance and Procurement § 2–801","heading":"","body":"(a) In this subtitle the following words have the meanings indicated.\n(b) “Changing facility” means a table or other device suitable for changing the diaper of a child under the age of 4 years and providing personal care for an adult.\n(c) (1) “Public building” means a building, a structure, or an improved area that is:\n(i) owned by the State or a political subdivision of the State; or\n(ii) constructed for lease by the State or a political subdivision of the State.\n(2) “Public building” includes:\n(i) a public mass transportation accommodation, such as a terminal or station, that is supported by public funds; and\n(ii) an improvement of a public area used for gathering or amusement, including a public park or recreation center.\n(3) “Public building” does not include a facility that is primarily used to provide primary or secondary education.\n(d) “Public restroom” means a sanitary facility available to the general public that contains at least one toilet or urinal.\n(e) “Substantial renovation” means a construction or renovation project with an estimated cost of $30,000 or more.","path":["Article - State Finance and Procurement"],"source_url":"https://mgaleg.maryland.gov/mgawebsite/Laws/StatuteText?article=gsf\u0026section=2-801","current_through":"2026-01-01","vintage":"","retrieved_at":"2026-09-14T20:00:48Z","sha256":"081744d7467c0ef65ba759566a97bef4420f0355e4e3d9c4d21fe4334d80cf8e","source_id":"us-md","stale":false,"prev":"us-md/md.-code-state-finance-and-procurement-2-702","next":"us-md/md.-code-state-finance-and-procurement-2-802"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
