Code, State Finance and Procurement § 5A–315","heading":"","body":"(a) Eight trustees are a quorum.\n(b) (1) The Board shall meet at least twice a year at the times and places that it sets.\n(2) The Director appointed under § 5A-316 of this subtitle shall call a special meeting:\n(i) on order of the chair, on the chair’s own initiative; or\n(ii) at the request of four or more trustees.\n(3) (i) The Director shall notify each trustee in writing of the time and place of a meeting at least 7 days before the meeting.\n(ii) The trustees may hold a meeting on less than 7 days’ notice if all trustees agree.\n(c) A trustee:\n(1) may not receive compensation for duties performed as a trustee; but\n(2) is entitled to reimbursement for expenses under the Standard State Travel Regulations, as provided in the State budget.","path":["Article - State Finance and Procurement"],"source_url":"https://mgaleg.maryland.gov/mgawebsite/Laws/StatuteText?article=gsf\u0026section=5A-315","current_through":"2026-01-01","vintage":"","retrieved_at":"2026-09-14T20:00:48Z","sha256":"d0f98d260b2a663e2f08827117299b3ca7d0173c7979fd6370c625de77eda9dd","source_id":"us-md","stale":false,"prev":"us-md/md.-code-state-finance-and-procurement-5a-314","next":"us-md/md.-code-state-finance-and-procurement-5a-316"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
