Code, State Finance and Procurement § 5A–402","heading":"","body":"(a) There is a Maryland Advisory Committee on Historic Agricultural Structure Preservation.\n(b) (1) The Committee consists of 10 members.\n(2) The ex officio members are:\n(i) the Secretary of Agriculture, or the Secretary’s designee;\n(ii) the Secretary of Commerce, or the Secretary’s designee;\n(iii) the Secretary of Planning, or the Secretary’s designee;\n(iv) the Director of the Maryland Historical Trust; and\n(v) the Director of the Maryland Cooperative Extension.\n(3) The Governor shall appoint the other five members, of whom:\n(i) one shall be from a list of at least two nominees representing the Maryland State Grange;\n(ii) one shall be from a list of at least two nominees representing the Maryland Farm Bureau;\n(iii) two shall be individuals actively engaged in agriculture; and\n(iv) one shall be a member of the Maryland Environmental Trust.\n(c) The Secretary of Planning serves as chair.\n(d) The term of an appointed member is 4 years.\n(e) A member of the Committee:\n(1) may not receive compensation as a member; but\n(2) is entitled to reimbursement for expenses under the Standard State Travel Regulations, as provided in the State budget.","path":["Article - State Finance and Procurement"],"source_url":"https://mgaleg.maryland.gov/mgawebsite/Laws/StatuteText?article=gsf\u0026section=5A-402","current_through":"2026-01-01","vintage":"","retrieved_at":"2026-09-14T20:00:48Z","sha256":"d3d373e7727115edb23b29828961384f7f990c51b2f29d3f09d0c844e0ccca5c","source_id":"us-md","stale":false,"prev":"us-md/md.-code-state-finance-and-procurement-5a-401","next":"us-md/md.-code-state-finance-and-procurement-5a-403"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
