Code, State Government § 10–117","heading":"","body":"(a) (1) Except as otherwise provided in subsection (b) of this section or in other law, the effective date of a regulation is:\n(i) the 10th calendar day after notice of adoption is published in the Register; or\n(ii) a later date that the notice sets.\n(2) For calculation of the effective date under this subsection:\n(i) § 1–302 of the General Provisions Article does not apply;\n(ii) the issue date of the Register in which the notice is published is not counted; and\n(iii) each other calendar day, including Saturdays, Sundays, and legal holidays, is counted.\n(b) The effective date of a regulation after its emergency adoption is the date that the Committee sets.","path":["Article - State Government"],"source_url":"https://mgaleg.maryland.gov/mgawebsite/Laws/StatuteText?article=gsg\u0026section=10-117","current_through":"2026-01-01","vintage":"","retrieved_at":"2026-09-14T20:00:58Z","sha256":"8303bd2742e815522f25ddd82a69005f750607bbe8b035827736ece724c0d220","source_id":"us-md","stale":false,"prev":"us-md/md.-code-state-government-10-116","next":"us-md/md.-code-state-government-10-118"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
