Code, State Government § 2–1207","heading":"","body":"In addition to any duties set forth elsewhere, the Department shall provide:\n(1) budget and fiscal review, analysis, research, studies, and reports;\n(2) legislative drafting and statutory revision services;\n(3) legal research, review, analysis, studies, and reports;\n(4) general research and policy analysis;\n(5) fiscal/compliance, financial statement, and performance audits of units of the State government;\n(6) legislative research, legislative document and material collection and preservation, and other library services;\n(7) public information services about legislative activities;\n(8) document preparation and publication services;\n(9) legislative information systems maintenance, development, and support; and\n(10) administrative support services for the Department and, where appropriate, for the General Assembly relating to finance, personnel, distribution, telecommunications, printing and copying, supplies, housekeeping, and maintenance.","path":["Article - State Government"],"source_url":"https://mgaleg.maryland.gov/mgawebsite/Laws/StatuteText?article=gsg\u0026section=2-1207","current_through":"2026-01-01","vintage":"","retrieved_at":"2026-09-14T20:00:58Z","sha256":"2afb2ac65b50375e408b676b30492fea90cb71892a271ce90a9750320e1caf0c","source_id":"us-md","stale":false,"prev":"us-md/md.-code-state-government-2-1206","next":"us-md/md.-code-state-government-2-1208"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
