Code, State Government § 22–202","heading":"","body":"A public employer shall extend to an exclusive representative the right to:\n(1) represent public employees in:\n(i) negotiations notwithstanding the existence of an agreement with an employee organization that is no longer certified or recognized; and\n(ii) the settlement of grievances;\n(2) (i) on request, information from a public employer relevant to the administration and negotiation of an agreement or the proper performance of the employee organization’s duties as the public employees’ representative; and\n(ii) have the information requested under item (i) of this item made available as soon as practicable, but not later than 30 days after the public employer receives the request; and\n(3) communicate with its members and elected officials, in a manner and at times at its discretion, concerning issues relevant to the administration and negotiation of an agreement.","path":["Article - State Government"],"source_url":"https://mgaleg.maryland.gov/mgawebsite/Laws/StatuteText?article=gsg\u0026section=22-202","current_through":"2026-01-01","vintage":"","retrieved_at":"2026-09-14T20:00:58Z","sha256":"77b65d14d9fe02d6ae8065f94ae1ce5db9df185ba2caf697c8cd00c345cf554d","source_id":"us-md","stale":false,"prev":"us-md/md.-code-state-government-22-201","next":"us-md/md.-code-state-government-22-203"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
