Code, State Government § 9–114","heading":"","body":"(a) The Director may require any lottery agent granted a license to post either an appropriate surety bond, irrevocable letter of credit, or cash security deposit in the amount that the regulations of the Agency set.\n(b) (1) In lieu of a surety bond, irrevocable letter of credit, or cash security deposit, the Agency, at the discretion of the Director, may provide a blanket bond covering all or selected agents in accordance with the availability of bonds and the financial status of an individual or a corporation.\n(2) A bond provided by the Agency shall be:\n(i) provided at the agent’s expense; and\n(ii) based upon a financial evaluation of the agent conducted by the Director.","path":["Article - State Government"],"source_url":"https://mgaleg.maryland.gov/mgawebsite/Laws/StatuteText?article=gsg\u0026section=9-114","current_through":"2026-01-01","vintage":"","retrieved_at":"2026-09-14T20:00:58Z","sha256":"bb7aca8e70c67fa6879fff8cf58821ac6cc832f2da978c370e7b8b97cc71e118","source_id":"us-md","stale":false,"prev":"us-md/md.-code-state-government-9-113","next":"us-md/md.-code-state-government-9-115"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
