Code, State Government § 9–1610","heading":"","body":"(a) The Council shall:\n(1) advise the Chief Administrative Law Judge in carrying out his duties;\n(2) identify issues of importance to administrative law judges that should be addressed by the Chief Administrative Law Judge;\n(3) review issues and problems relating to administrative hearings and the administrative process;\n(4) review and comment upon policies and regulations proposed by the Chief Administrative Law Judge;\n(5) advise the Governor as to those agencies for which a continuing exemption under § 9–1601 of this subtitle should be maintained as consistent with the purposes of this subtitle; and\n(6) submit an annual report, which may be prepared in conjunction with the report required under § 9–1604 of this subtitle and is subject to § 2–1257 of this article, to the Legislative Policy Committee of the General Assembly, including a list of the agencies that are exempted from this subtitle under § 9–1601(c) of this subtitle and the reasons for the exemptions.\n(b) The Council shall meet at a regular time and place to be determined by the Council.","path":["Article - State Government"],"source_url":"https://mgaleg.maryland.gov/mgawebsite/Laws/StatuteText?article=gsg\u0026section=9-1610","current_through":"2026-01-01","vintage":"","retrieved_at":"2026-09-14T20:00:58Z","sha256":"a012462adc77464b25eb631cb87d70950751ef74cde56891327255277e73af4c","source_id":"us-md","stale":false,"prev":"us-md/md.-code-state-government-9-1609","next":"us-md/md.-code-state-government-9-1901"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
