Code, State Government § 9–206","heading":"","body":"(a) In addition to any duties set forth elsewhere, the Commission shall:\n(1) represent the State in the National Conference;\n(2) meet with representatives of other states in the National Conference;\n(3) draft uniform laws and model acts for submission to and adoption by the states;\n(4) recommend the best action to accomplish uniformity in legislation; and\n(5) otherwise seek the best means to obtain uniformity in the laws of the states.\n(b) (1) Before each regular session of the General Assembly, the Commission shall submit an annual report:\n(i) to the Governor; and\n(ii) subject to § 2-1257 of this article, to the General Assembly.\n(2) The annual report shall:\n(i) describe the activities of the Commission; and\n(ii) include recommendations on appropriate subjects.","path":["Article - State Government"],"source_url":"https://mgaleg.maryland.gov/mgawebsite/Laws/StatuteText?article=gsg\u0026section=9-206","current_through":"2026-01-01","vintage":"","retrieved_at":"2026-09-14T20:00:58Z","sha256":"b97209e18ab77ad3c224fbaa608595ed0dcc2ca6572721bd791ace2a4fa60038","source_id":"us-md","stale":false,"prev":"us-md/md.-code-state-government-9-205","next":"us-md/md.-code-state-government-9-301"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
