Code, State Government § 9–20A–09","heading":"","body":"(a) The Administration may use the Fund to enhance the credit of a financing offered by a bank or other financial institution for a project.\n(b) A credit enhancement issued in accordance with subsection (a) of this section shall:\n(1) carry out the purpose of the Program in a manner the Administration considers appropriate;\n(2) facilitate financing of at least one project of a local jurisdiction, nonprofit organization, or eligible business; and\n(3) be offered only to a bank or other financial institution in good standing with the State Department of Assessments and Taxation that is:\n(i) incorporated in the State; or\n(ii) registered to do business in the State.\n(c) The Administration may assess a reasonable fee to a participating bank or financial institution for the administration of this section.\n(d) The Administration shall adopt regulations to carry out this section.","path":["Article - State Government"],"source_url":"https://mgaleg.maryland.gov/mgawebsite/Laws/StatuteText?article=gsg\u0026section=9-20A-09","current_through":"2026-01-01","vintage":"","retrieved_at":"2026-09-14T20:00:58Z","sha256":"2589c057710f178132dc670906ed6e18a364d3dc9504d6a2c4efc280210026c1","source_id":"us-md","stale":false,"prev":"us-md/md.-code-state-government-9-20a-08","next":"us-md/md.-code-state-government-9-20a-10"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
