Code, State Government § 9–20C–01","heading":"","body":"(a) In this subtitle the following words have the meanings indicated.\n(b) “Administration” means the Maryland Energy Administration.\n(c) “Advisory Committee” means the Maryland Offshore Wind Business Development Advisory Committee established under § 9–20C–02 of this subtitle.\n(d) “Director” means the Director of the Maryland Energy Administration.\n(e) “Emerging business” means a business that is at least 51% owned and controlled by an individual or individuals who are certified to have a personal net worth, as defined in § 14–301 of the State Finance and Procurement Article, that does not exceed $6,500,000 as adjusted each year for inflation according to the Consumer Price Index.\n(f) “Fund” means the Maryland Offshore Wind Business Development Fund established under § 9–20C–03 of this subtitle.\n(g) “Minority” means an individual who is a member of any of the groups listed in § 14–301(k)(1)(i) of the State Finance and Procurement Article.","path":["Article - State Government"],"source_url":"https://mgaleg.maryland.gov/mgawebsite/Laws/StatuteText?article=gsg\u0026section=9-20C-01","current_through":"2026-01-01","vintage":"","retrieved_at":"2026-09-14T20:00:58Z","sha256":"e5b2733ab4372ec7c298c4eff623639800feb4409c4270f4f2c94c0f97768342","source_id":"us-md","stale":false,"prev":"us-md/md.-code-state-government-9-20b-12","next":"us-md/md.-code-state-government-9-20c-02"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
