Code, State Government § 9–20D–01","heading":"","body":"(a) In this subtitle the following words have the meanings indicated.\n(b) “Administration” means the Maryland Energy Administration.\n(c) “Program” means the Regulated Sustainable Energy Contract Program.\n(d) “Qualified contractor” means a person authorized by the Administration under this subtitle to provide sustainable energy products to residential property owners under a regulated sustainable energy contract.\n(e) “Regulated sustainable energy contract” means a contract between a residential property owner and a qualified contractor that:\n(1) meets the requirements of § 9–20D–04 of this subtitle; and\n(2) does not exceed $30,000.\n(f) “Residential energy efficiency measure” means a product or an improvement to a structure that, when installed, results in a reduction of energy usage in that structure.\n(g) “Residential renewable energy installation” means a product that, when installed on residential property, provides energy savings or generates energy from a renewable source.","path":["Article - State Government"],"source_url":"https://mgaleg.maryland.gov/mgawebsite/Laws/StatuteText?article=gsg\u0026section=9-20D-01","current_through":"2026-01-01","vintage":"","retrieved_at":"2026-09-14T20:00:58Z","sha256":"cb09f44df803196a03b2d1a16fd3a4cbbf285a52c628b54444615fbf01619b87","source_id":"us-md","stale":false,"prev":"us-md/md.-code-state-government-9-20c-04","next":"us-md/md.-code-state-government-9-20d-02"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
