Code, State Government § 9–2412","heading":"","body":"(a) (1) The Board shall elect the chair from among its members.\n(2) The term of the chair is 2 years.\n(b) (1) The Board shall meet at least once each quarter at the times and places set by the Board.\n(2) The Board may call special meetings at the request of:\n(i) the chair;\n(ii) the Director; or\n(iii) a majority of the members of the Board.\n(c) A majority of the members then serving on the Board is a quorum.\n(d) A member of the Board:\n(1) may not receive compensation as a member of the Board; but\n(2) is entitled to reimbursement for expenses under the Standard State Travel Regulations, as provided in the State budget.","path":["Article - State Government"],"source_url":"https://mgaleg.maryland.gov/mgawebsite/Laws/StatuteText?article=gsg\u0026section=9-2412","current_through":"2026-01-01","vintage":"","retrieved_at":"2026-09-14T20:00:58Z","sha256":"0aa3702118f78bd58bfd3a8a45e0413699afe50e171744fbcbc1475f07e2f8cc","source_id":"us-md","stale":false,"prev":"us-md/md.-code-state-government-9-2411","next":"us-md/md.-code-state-government-9-2413"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
