Code, State Government § 9–3706","heading":"","body":"(a) (1) With the approval of the Governor, the Commission shall appoint a director.\n(2) The director may not be a member of the Commission.\n(3) The director serves at the pleasure of the Commission, subject to the concurrence of the Governor.\n(b) The director is a special appointment in the State Personnel Management System.\n(c) Subject to the rules and policies adopted by the Commission, the director shall:\n(1) administer the activities of the Commission; and\n(2) supervise the appointment and removal of Commission personnel.","path":["Article - State Government"],"source_url":"https://mgaleg.maryland.gov/mgawebsite/Laws/StatuteText?article=gsg\u0026section=9-3706","current_through":"2026-01-01","vintage":"","retrieved_at":"2026-09-14T20:00:58Z","sha256":"97b4091c70d2f757821598e809c27c1be5131d9cfd71807d2f1e24c99231a01f","source_id":"us-md","stale":false,"prev":"us-md/md.-code-state-government-9-3705","next":"us-md/md.-code-state-government-9-3707"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
